Kenneth D. Hensley 83, of Fourmile, KY, passed away on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Lafollett, TN. He was born January 22, 1929 in Harlan County, the son of the late Bradley and Harriet Helton Hensley. He had been a retired Taxi driver and had served in the Army.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Hensley; brother, Eugene Edward Hensley; sisters, Edna Harris Hensley, Marie Hensley and Ruby Hensley; nephews, Jimmy Harris and Carl Harris.
He is survived by children, Kenneth D. Hensley Jr., Mark Hensley, Cliffton Ray Hensley, David Hensley, Michelle Collins and Brenda K. Hensley; grandchildren, Jamie Collins, Brittany Maria Collins, Katherine Marie Collins, Destiny Ann Hensley, Anna Cooper, Tiffany Cooper, Heather Hensley, Dustin Hensley, Rachel Stifler, Trevor Hensley, Christopher Sullivan, Jemery Hensley, Bradley Hensley, Kenneth Wayne Hensley; great-grandchildren, Hailie Nicole Hensley, Aiden Scott Hensley, Baylon Smith, Bentley Cooper and Aiden Chance Cooper; brother, Donald Hensley; special friends, Geraldean Smith and John Jackson; daughters-in-law, Brenda Sue Hensley and Amy Marie Hensley; son-in-law, James Ray Collins; special friend, Erik Saylor.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday December 28, 2012 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home with Rev. Virgil Hendrickson and Rev. Bill Dunn.
Pallbearers will be Robert Daniels, Chris Smith, Terry Collins, James Collins, Erik Saylor, Darrell West and Kenneth Wayne Hensley. Music will be provided by friends. Burial will be in the Wallsend Cemetery, Wallsend, KY.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday December 28, 2012 at the Brooks-Durham Funeral Home, Pineville, KY.
