JACKSBORO, Tenn. — Charges are now pending against an East Tennessee woman who surrendered to Campbell County authorities this morning following a fatal hit-and-run that killed a Middlesboro woman Tuesday night, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Officials say they are awaiting the results of blood tests before deciding on what to charges to file.

The person who turned herself into authorities on Wednesday was identified as Tiffney N. Ivey, 33, of Caryville, according to a THP incident report.

Knoxnews.com reported that as of late Wednesday it is as yet unknown whether drugs or alcohol were factors in the incident.

Ivey turned herself in at the Campbell County Jail, according to THP Sgt. Randal Martin. Officers also secured a 1999 Chevy C25 pickup, which was being photographed and inspected by authorities on Wednesday.
