The man allegedly involved in placing hidden cameras in the men’s restroom at Walmart in Middlesboro has been indicted by the Bell County Grand Jury.

Randall R. Rogers, 49, of Speedwell, Tenn., was indicted on three counts of promoting sexual performance by a minor under 16 years of age, four counts of video voyeurism and seven counts of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

About one month ago, Rogers was apprehended by Lt. Tom Busic of the Middlesboro Police Department in the Walmart parking lot for the alleged crime, which had been under investigation for approximately a year.

According to MPD Chief Jeff Sharpe, the first camera was found in the men’s restroom last December. There were also several other alleged incidents over the past several months, which the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department and Lincoln Memorial University Police Department investigated.

Police said Rogers was able to be identified because he captured his face on the cameras when he turned them on after placing them in the restrooms.

Also indicted recently were Steven and Tonya Simpson of Frakes. Both individuals were indicted on first-degree assault for the alleged beating of a male victim. According to the indictment, the victim was beaten with a tire tool.

Wilburn Kevin Partin of Pineville was also indicted on a first-degree assault charge. According to the indictment, Partin stabbed the male victim in the right forearm and caused serious physical injury.

Others recently indicted by the grand jury include:

* Timothy Allen Warren, 30, of Pineville, was indicted for third-degree burglary and third-degree criminal mischief;

* Mark Sturgill, 30, of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., was indicted for theft by unlawful taking over $500 and third-degree terroristic threatening;

* Charles Ello Thomas III, 37, of London, was indicted on two counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance and one count possession of drug paraphernalia;

* Christopher L. Cochran, 40, of Knoxville, Tenn., was indicted on three counts of first-degree possession of a controlled substance;

* Steven Travis Hoskins, 24, of Middlesboro, was indicted for first-degree indecent exposure and for being a persistent felony offender;

* John D. Rutherford, 53, was arrested for first-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, disregarding a traffic control device, failure to wear seat belt, rear license not illuminated, possession of an open alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle, no/expired registration plate, leaving the scene of an accident /failure to render aid or assistance, improper registration plate, failure of owner to maintain required security, operating a vehicle with expired operator’s license and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Tasha Overton, 19, of Middlesboro, was indicted for theft by unlawful taking over $500, possession of marijuana, second-degree possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia;

* Rocky Baker, 49, of Middlesboro, was indicted for second-degree burglary, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, third-degree criminal mischief and for being a persistent felony offender;

* George Dixon, 43, of Middlesboro, was indicted for third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Jason C. Johnson, of Middlesboro, was indicted on four counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument;

* James Ball III, 26, of Harrogate, Tenn., was indicted for theft by unlawful taking under $500 and second-degree forgery;

* Michael D. Miracle, 22, of Middlesboro, was indicted for first-degree possession of a controlled substance;

* Joy Lynn Beaupry, 62, of Middlesboro, was indicted for theft by deception over $10,000.

* Kenneth Wayne Williams, 33, was indicted for first- and third-degree trafficking a controlled substance, second-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and for being a persistent felony offender;

* Rodney Redmond, 44, of Middlesboro, was indicted for third-degree burglary.
