PINEVILLE - A Manchester man has been formally indicted by a Bell County grand jury on charges of third degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

Donnie Wayne Caldwell, 38, was indicted in two separate court documents. He was charged with third degree burglary after he allegedly broke into the Bell County garage and took various tools that belonged to the Bell County fiscal court.

Prior to this incident that occurred in March, Caldwell was also charged with receiving stolen property after an incident on February 26 in which he received/retained/disposed of a 1997 Isuzu Hombree which had been stolen from Freeda Faulkner and taking it to the Robbins Recycling. The Hombree was crushed upon Caldwell getting paid $81 for the vehicle.

Caldwell was also charged with being a persistent felony offender.

Another man was charged with two counts of complicity to commit third degree burglary in a separate case.

Lee Roy Harris, 18, of Middlesboro was charged after he allegedly aided or attempted to aid a juvenile in committing burglary after the two broke into the Middlesboro Housing Authority.

Harris was also charged for allegedly aiding the same juvenile in the break-in of Hensley's Chapel Church on March 2 of this year.

An indictment is not proof of guilt and trials for the accused will be scheduled at a later date.
