A 23-year old Tazewell, Tenn., man missing since Sunday has been found alive.
Brandon Travis Brewer was reported missing after he was last seen around 1 p.m. on Sunday. According to reports, he is severely autistic and needs medication regularly.
Brewer was found near the intersection of Cedar Fork Road and Bailey Hollow Road in Claiborne County, Tenn., around 4 p.m. on Tuesday.
“He’s hungry as he can be and thirsty, but doing really well,” said Deputy T. Williams with the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department.
When asked what he wanted to eat, Brewer asked for chicken nuggets — which is what deputies delivered to him.
Someone called in a tip that a man fitting Brewer’s description was hitchhiking near the intersection where he was found. Police answered the call and Williams found him.
Brewer was taken to the Tazewell City Hall, where Claiborne County EMS met him. He had some cuts on his legs, but seemed otherwise in good condition, according to police.
Several agencies worked on the missing man’s case, including Tazewell and New Tazewell police departments, Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department and Claiborne County EMS.
