Regular season champ Overbay’s won the Middlesboro Little League tournament Monday evening with a convincing 13-1 win over Dairy Queen in the championship game.

Jonathan Partin paced the Overbay’s offense with two doubles and a triple. He drove in four runs and scored three.

Partin’s double in the top of the first brought home Logan Capps and Brandyn Ball. He would later score on a double by Morgan Justice to make it 3-0.

Dairy Queen got one run in their half of the first as Jacob Schneider was hit by a pitch leading off and then scored on a ground out by Joshua Arnold.

But that was the only run Ball would allow. He struck out seven and gave up just two hits and two walks over five innings to get the win.

Brandon Hale singled and Austin Jones doubled for the only Dairy Queen hits.

Partin tripled in Ball in the third inning and then scored on a ground out by Justice as Overbay’s extended their lead to 5-1.

They put the game away with an eight-run fifth inning.

Capps singled and Partin and Matthew Mike both had RBI doubles in the inning with the rest of the runs scoring on either walks or errors.

With the tournament now complete the rosters for the Middlesboro All-Star teams will be posted today on the concession stand door.
