Robert “Bob” Homer Hoskins, age 75 of Corbin, formerly of Straight Creek, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Corbin.

Born at Straight Creek on Oct. 8, 1936, he was the son of the late William and Alice Jones Hoskins. A believer in the Baptist faith, he had been a union liaison for General Motors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a special grandchild, Seleena Ryan; sister, Joann Danner; and a brother, Jack Hoskins.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Lasley Hoskins; son, Robert and wife Amy; grandchildren, Nathan and Noah; step-children, Connie Jones and her children Stacy and Derek, Mike and Debbie Ryan and their children Kailey and Sydney, Rhonda Ryan, Frank and Leslie Caruso and their daughter Emily, Robert and Jana Caruso and their son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Mary, Anthony and Allison Caruso and and their daughters Corri and Elianna Matthew and Amber Caruso and their son Koleton; brothers, Bill Hoskins and Paul Hoskins; sisters, Mary Alice Saylor and Patsy Lowe; special friends, Brenda and Carl Hicks, Mike Harbin, Bruce Bennett and George Rhodes; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A graveside memorial service will be conducted at p.m. Sunday at Pineville Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Alan Bonell presiding. Special music will be by Mickey Wilder.

In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Disabled American Veterans.
