Publisher Jesse Capps and Rock Confidential celebrated the site’s 10th anniversary with a number of special events, the first being a special concert on the “America Rocks” tour.

Headlined by Jack Russell’s Great White, Rock Confidential was part of an Independence Day blowout that also served as the official live event to recognize a decade of the site’s service to rock ‘n roll. Faster Pussycat, Bulletboys, Pretty Boy Floyd and Lillian Axe rounded out the jam packed event of talent for this amazing concert.

The anniversary comes after years of hard work that was inspired by a love of journalism and music. Capps, who is originally from Gibson Station, Va., and was born in Middlesboro, said that while he was in high school, he had a love for both aspects of the magazine. He thought of the idea for the magazine because he wanted to interview musicians.

Since the online version of the magazine published ten years ago, Capps has got to interview plenty of rock stars that include David Coverdale from Whitesnake, Seether, Ted Nuggent and many others. Capps has even had the chance to appear on episodes of VH1: All Access.

While filming for the show, Capps stated that he got to fly to New York and take part in a three-hour interview. The interview consist of questions about music.

Capps also got a chance to moderate a panel during the CMJ Music Festival. He was in charge of putting together the panel and gather questions to ask the panel.

A little over a year ago, Rock Confidential released its first print magazine, a full-color print publication that features exclusive interviews with musicians and celebrities, music reviews, entertainment news and more. That magazine is still available for purchase at select locations in the tri-state area. It prints quarterly.

The new version of Rock Confidential hit the streets on July 2. This version includes an interview with Ted Nugent, who opens up about his views on Barack Obama and Democrats in general. During the interview, Nugent also covers his current tour with REO Speedwagon and Styx.

Rock Confidential is currently based in Middlesboro.
