Roger W. Simpson, age 62 of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012.
He was born Sep. 18, 1950, in Wallins Creek. Roger was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired as an automobile mechanic.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvie and Alice Simpson; and wife, Jeanetta “Cookie” Simpson.
He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Simpson; son, Roger D. Simpson; sisters, Wanda Mudd and Elsie Blankenship; brothers, Kirby Simpson and Billy Bahm; five grandchildren; one great grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 24, at 1 p.m. in Family Funeral Care, with visitation there from 11 a.m. until time of the service. Burial will follow at West Newton Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center.
