MIDDLESBORO — Mrs. Ruth Ann Hatfield Yeary, age 70, passed away in the early morning hours of December 29, 2008 at the University of Tennessee Hospital. She was born May 4, 1938 at Fork Ridge, Tenn. to the late Rowene and Alvis Hatfield. She attended the Middlesboro Senior High School and graduated in the class of 1957 with honors. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters: Mayme Gober, Ethel Satness and Elsie Harper; and brothers: Ira Hatfield and two infant brothers.
She is survived by her husband William Arthur Yeary of Middlesboro, Ky.; sons: Anthony Dee Yeary of Harrogate, Tenn., Larry Dewayne Yeary of Tazewell, Tenn. and Paul Edward Yeary of Pippa Passes, Ky.; daughter: Claudette Irene Yeary Fairchild of Oil Springs, Ky.; brother Tom Hatfield, Sr.; grandsons: Chris Thomas Yeary, Phillip Dewayne Yeary, Joshua Neil Yeary, Christopher George Yeary and Jesse Dakota Yeary; granddaughters: Leah Faith Fairchild and Ruby Elizabeth Yeary; Della Yeary, Sarah Yeary and three great grandsons.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William Boyd Bingham III officiating. Burial will be in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel.
