Very few of the students at Saint Julian Parish School were even born when the 9-11 tragedy occurred. Yet this has not lessened the impact it has made on their young lives. They are very much aware of how this day in history changed numerous lives. During morning assembly students recounted what they knew about the tragedy, including the numerous acts of kindness and heroism that occurred after the planes struck the twin towers. After morning assembly students, faculty and staff gathered on the front lawn as the flag was raised to half-mast commemorating the victims of the 9-11 tragedy. A moment of silence was observed followed by the ringing of a hand bell 11 times. The ceremony concluded with a prayer dedicated to the victims of 9-11 and their families.
