Several defendants were sentenced recently in Bell Circuit Court on charges ranging from drug trafficking and manufacturing to criminal abuse. Those receiving sentences included:
• Aundrea Marie Williams of Middlesboro was sentenced to two years in a penitentiary on charges of criminal abuse in the second degree. Williams was charged with wantonly placing a child in a situation that could cause serious physical injury.
• Dustin Hounshell of Pineville was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary for the possessing the equipment with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
• Ronald Wayne Lovett of Middlesboro was sentenced on charges of public intoxication, trafficking in a controlled substance in the second degree, trafficking in a controlled substance in the third degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, and the prescription controlled substance not in the original container. Lovett was sentenced to two years and six months in the penitentiary, 12 months in the Bell County Jail, and 90 days in the Bell County jail. The court also ordered that the sentences will be served concurrently.
• Jamie N. Leach of Middlesboro was sentenced for burglary in the second degree and fraudulent use of a credit card under $500 within a six month period. Leach will serve six months in the Bell County Jail under both counts of the indictment and the sentences will run concurrently with each other. Leach will also be placed on supervised probation for a period of five years.
• Sandra L. Ramey of Middlesboro was sentenced on charges of trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree and first offense. Ramey will serve two years and six months in the penitentiary for both counts. The sentences will run concurrently with each other.
• Harold Glenn Dye of Hulen was sentenced for trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense. Dye will serve two years in the penitentiary. All sentences from the indictment run consecutively with each other.
• Amanda Beth Turnbill of Middlesboro was sentenced on charges of theft by unlawful taking or disposition (over $500) by unlawfully taking $1,090 in cash from the victim and promoting contraband in the first degree by introducing oxycodone and hydrocodone, controlled substances into the Bell County Jail. Turnbill was sentenced to serve 90 days in Bell County Jail and then probation for a period of five years.
• Derek Baumgardner of Pineville was sentenced on charges of assault in the fourth degree, resisting arrest and fleeing or evading police in the first degree. Baumgardner will serve five years in the penitentiary and 12 months in Bell County Jail. Both sentences will run concurrently with each other.
• Priscilla Akers of Pineville was sentenced on charges of resisting arrest, assault in the third degree, alcohol intoxication in a public place and disorderly conduct. Akers will serve 90 days in Bell County Jail and probation for five years.
• Gary K. Partin of Pineville was sentenced to fleeing or evading police in the first degree, wanton endangerment in the first degree and theft by unlawful taking or disposition (over $500). Partin will serve six months in Bell County Jail and probation for five years.
