The smell of smoke caused quite the scare on Tuesday. The Middlesboro Fire Department and EMS responded to a call when an individual smelled smoke inside a building between 19th and 20th Street. According to Middlesboro Fire Chief Tim Wilder, no smoke or fire was found. They did find a heating unit that was “locked up” that could have created the smell.
