Wendell Antonio “Tony” Zachery, 51, of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Pineville on February 10, 1961, a son of the late Charles Zachery and JoAnn Ferguson Zachery. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and had worked in the packing house at Cumberland Gap Provisions. Tony was a graduate of Pineville High School, where he had been a football and softball player and he continued to be active in the sports programs at Pineville.

Survivors include his wife of 16 years, Heidi Fredricks Zachery; children, Antonia T. Zachery, Sarah L. Zachery and Emily Ferrell; brothers and sisters, Michael and Melissa Zachery, Dewayne Cortney “Poot” and Misty Zachery, Rose L. and Darrell Cloud and Pam Cloud; special aunt, Florence Mays; special cousins, Kelly Mays and Walter Mays; best friends, Kyle Bush, Bo Bush, Critt Goins and Eddie Payne and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Evangelist Michael Ferguson. Following services, Tony will be cremated.
