Bell High JROTC wins awards

The Bell County High School Air Force Junior ROTC Drill Team attended a State Drill Meet hosted by Scott County High School on Saturday.

Four Kentucky Air Force JROTC and Navy JROTC units, five Ohio Air Force JROTC and Navy JROTC units and one Indian Air Force JROTC unit participated.

A total of over 350 cadets participated in the all-day event.

Teams competed in inspection, color guard, individual drill regulation, exhibition and “knock-out” competition.

The Bell County cadets won three trophies including third place in the advanced female color guard, third place in advanced individual drill routine and the exhibition team gave a near flawless performance for second place in exhibition against some very professional competition.

Bell County’s Advanced Drill Team members are Heather Baker, Breanna Boatright, Logan Brock, Katie Endicott, Adam Miller, Cheyanne Miracle, Allen Osborne, Kevin Osborne, Brett Sizemore, Nick Traxler, all under the command of the Bell Country Drill and Group Commander Col. Anthony Howard.
