“Packed like sardines,” was the vision these dedicated shoppers portrayed in Middlesboro. It’s no surprise that people wait for hours or even days for a good deal on ‘Black Friday.’
According to a Middlesboro local, their family has been doing this for as long as she can remember. They look at it like a sport and actually enjoy all the stress and hostility that comes with it. They have even went as far as camping out for almost two days in Knoxville a few years ago for a steal on a new washer and dryer.
A lot of other people have decided to skip the lines and shop online.
“How many people can say they were able to sit in their pajamas with a cup of coffee while getting all the same specials that Black Friday has to offer? I wouldn’t dare battle people in the stores anymore when you can do it all from the comfort of your own home on the Internet,” says Jason Cook of Pineville.
