The Middlesboro Yellow Jackets are going through spring football practice this week. Randy Frazier’s Jackets will return 90 percent of their roster as they look to turn around last year’s 4-7 record. With several members of the team also busy playing baseball and the incoming freshman not eligible for spring practice, MHS could field a team with between 50 and 60 players this fall. The Jackets will open the regular season at home against Grant County on Aug. 24.
