Lady Jackets fall in first round of state tourney

Rain brought an early end to the Lady Jackets first game in pool play at the State All 'A' tournament in Owensboro on Saturday. Due to the weather, officials decided to put all the teams in a single-elimination tournament when play resumed Saturday afternoon. Middlesboro was eliminated with a 6-3 loss to Nicholas County in the first round. Now 12-5 on the season, the Lady Jackets will try to bounce back this evening when they visit Clay County.
