A Middlesboro woman was arrested recently on theft charges.
Katherine M. Howard, 42, was arrested by Middlesboro Police Officer Joe Holder for theft by deception under $10,000 and theft by deception under $500.
According to the arrest citation, on Jan. 1, Howard accepted payment in the amount of $200 for a historical airport book, Glacier Girl memorabilia and P-38 parts. On Jan. 12, Howard accepted an additional payment in the amount of $750, but never gave the items to the buyer.
As of Monday afternoon, Howard remained in custody at the Bell County Detention Center.
In an unrelated incident, Melissa Ann Wilder, 44, of Miracle, was also arrested for theft by deception under $10,000.
According to the arrest citation, Deputy Mike Cooper with the Bell County Sheriff Department served a warrant on Wilder Saturday night.
Wilder was released from the detention center on Sunday.
A Pineville man was also arrested on a theft by unlawful taking charge. Charles Earl Cinnamon, 27, of Pineville, was arrested on the charge after he allegedly took a handgun from a residence in Pineville. He was still incarcerated at the detention center as of Monday afternoon.
Other felony arrests made recently include:
* Vonda Kay Harp, 34, of Speedwell, Tenn., was arrested on the charges of public intoxication by a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia and first- and second-degree possession of a controlled substance;
* Tammy Annette Collins, 36, of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., was arrested on the charges of theft by unlawful taking and possession of a controlled substance.
