An inmate who escaped from the Bell County Forestry Camp was captured early Friday morning.
Drake A. Meyer, 22, of Carrollton, was apprehended at 8:43 a.m. two miles from the camp near Mason Farm.
Meyer walked away from the minimum-security prison Thursday. He was reported missing at 8:29 p.m. He was serving a 10-year sentence for second-degree burglary, theft by unlawful taking and possession of a controlled substance.
All of Meyer’s charges were out of Carroll County.
He would have been eligible for parole in December 2014.
