A wreck on Tuesday sent a man and a small child to the hospital. According to Kentucky State Police Trooper Keith Baker, Kari Odom, along with Justin Tye and Odom’s two daughters, were traveling south on U.S. 25E when she lost control of her vehicle in front of Bell County High School. Baker said the vehicle hit the median and rolled onto its roof. Tye and Odom’s 3-year-old daughter were transported to Middlesboro ARH by Bell County EMS.

A Bell County man pleaded guilty to four wanton endangerment charges in Bell Circuit Court on Monday.
Commonwealth Attorney Karen Greene Blondell recommended five years in the penitentiary for Eddie Lee. He would actually serve 72 days in the Bell County Jail.
Lee, 21, of Middlesboro, would be placed on supervised probation for five years to complete the balance of his sentence.
One year ago, Lee was involved in an accident that sent three people to the hospital. According to reports from the Middlesboro Police Department, Lee was traveling west at a high rate of speed on KY 441 when he lost control and hit a man driving a tractor on the side of the road.
Lee was allegedly driving under the influence at the time, according to reports from Lt. Tom Busic.
Other court activity on Monday included:
■ Jeffery Taylor, 40, pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property under $10,000 and to being a persistent felony offender. He was sentenced to five years in the penitentiary for the theft charge. The sentence is to be enhanced because of the persistent felony charge;
■ Bobby Partin, 32, pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree trafficking a controlled substance. He was sentenced to seven and a half years in the penitentiary;
■ Melanie Melton, 42, pleaded guilty to second-degree trafficking a controlled substance. She was sentenced to one and a half years in the penitentiary.
