Kentucky State Police (KSP) responded to an accident on Fonde Mountain a little after 4 p.m. on Wednesday between a small SUV and a coal truck; fortunately, there were no injuries reported.

According to KSP Trooper Tyson Lawson, who handled the accident, a Geo Tracker collided with a coal truck — of the Gemstone Trucking Company in Pennington Gap, Va. — about two miles west of Garmeada Missionary Baptist Church. Lawson said the crash was the result of “wet road conditions.” The Bell County Sheriff’s Department and Rescue Squad also assisted with the scene.

Imagine what 119 will look like if they build that plant. Everything will come in by truck. The JE keeps hollering jobs. Biggest job will be emergency vehicles working wrecks like this.

I can't count how many times I was nearly hit head on by one of these trucks crossing the line and coming right at me. I don't know if that's what happened here, but it wouldn't surprise me.
