He is survived by the love of his life for 65 years, Lorene (Sandifer) Lamb. They shared a deep abiding love for each other and their Savior, Jesus Christ. He was a special father to: four sons: Howard (Sue) Lamb, James (Penny) Lamb, Samuel (Karen) Lamb, Charles (Omega) Lamb; two daughters: Kathy (Boston) Inman, Ann (Gene) Smith; brother: Billy Thomas Baker; sister, Vina Royality; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Also, special friend and caregiver Sandra Etta Martin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers: Ely Lamn, Jr., Joseph Richard Lamb; sisters: Mattie Vance, Ruby Robinson, Etta Clay, Vina Widner, Gladys Goins; sons: Hobart, Billy Danny, Donnie; daughter: Esther.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the New Beginning Baptist Church with the Rev. Donnie Bannister and Rev. James Hyde presiding. Music will be provided by Judy and Eddie Adkins and Rachel Browles Cooper. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren, Dr. Nitin K. Patel, Amedysis staff, and first floor nursery staff of Middlesboro ARH.
Burial will follow at the Hooper Cemetery in Cumberland Gap, TN.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Creech Funeral.
