Bell County senior guard Ben Madon goes strong to the hoop during action earlier this season against Scott County.

The Bobcats improved to 5-1 on the season with wins over Loudon, Tenn., and Buckhorn, Ala., this week at the Kessler’s Holiday Classic at Knoxville Webb.

Bell beat Loudon 47-36 on Tuesday and Buckhorn 56-43 Wednesday. A balanced scoring attack keyed Wednesday’s win as Tanner Lefevers led the Bobcats with 13 points, Madon added 11 while Kyle Lee and Dylan Cox finished with nine and eight, respectively.

Bell is back in action today at the Webb tournament and will take part in the WYMT Mountain Classic next week at Perry Central. They open that tournament against Hazard on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
