"Our congratulations go to Constable Bruce Webb for completing the training required by the State of Tennessee to become a fully-vested Constable in the 9th District. According to state law, if a Constable does not complete the required training within one year of being selected, the County Commissioners have the authority to remove that person from office. In today's society, active police officers need all the training they can get.
According to the records of the Tennessee Constable Council, five of the nine Constables in Claiborne County have now met state requirements. Since the law changed in 1976 making training a requirement, this is the largest number of Constables who have met the state qualifications in this county.
I am sure Bruce would appreciate a "Thank You" from the residents of the 9th District for his efforts.. Howard Walker, First Vice President, Tennessee Constable Council
