Plans are already under way for the 2005 Project Graduation at Middlesboro High School.

Project Graduation is a program devised to provide a substance-free, wholesome, and safe graduation celebration for all MHS graduates, and at the same time give parents the peace of mind of knowing their teenagers are safe. The first Project Graduation at Middlesboro was held in 1989.

While this is a widely acclaimed nationwide program, there are no public funds available for the project. It funded solely through donations, and community support is crucial to its success, and any assistance is deeply appreciated.

Members of the 2005 MHS Project Graduation steering committee are currently contacting community leaders, businesses, agencies, civic organizations, and others for their support. through letters, phone calls and personal contact. But you do not have to wait to be called on. Donations can be mailed to the steering committe at the following address: Jennifer Suttle, Middlesboro Middle School, 4400 W. Cumberland Ave., Middlesboro, KY 40965.

In addition to financial support, donations of food, merchandise, gift certificates, or prizes are also needed. To make a donation or for further information contact 2005 co-ordinators Jennifer Suttle at 242-8880, or Tina Schneider at 242-8860.
