Captain Taylor Scott of the LCSD said Monday that three individuals, a male and a female of legal age and one juvenile male will be charged with two attempts of breaking and entering and two completed break-ins.
Scott said that four of the six cases have been solved. The break-ins have been occurring on the western end of the county, mostly around the Ewing area. Most occurring in evening hours when the suspects knew the occupants of the homes would be gone.
He also added that while some jewelry and nearly $600 worth of change were taken from some of the homes, most of the missing items were medication.
"It appears mostly that's what the major item was in all cases," said Scott. "Unfortunately, it seems to be the major thing we are having stolen."
One type of medication taken from one of the homes was Percocet, a drug that falls in narcotics class and is taken to relieve pain.
Scott said the investigation is ongoing and two other cases remain unsolved. One including an incident where the only thing that was taken was a television. He said the three to be charged are denying any involvement in the two remaining cases.
The LCSD is investigating and if anyone has any information regarding the break-ins, please call the department at 346-1131.
