The Bell County School District is pleased to provide a special service for its students - a healthy clinic.
Each school site in the Bell County School System houses a branch of the Bell County Health Department. The health clinic at each school site offers all of the health services (except for family planning) that are available at the main location of the Bell County Health Department.
Students must have completed and returned a signed parental permission to the school health clinic prior to consultation. If your child(ren) has not returned a permission form, forms are located in the school office or health clinic office.
The school health clinics are staffed with certified registered nurses; the nurses have additional training that increases the qualifications to serve as a school health clinic nurse. Dr. Emanuel H. Rader of Pineville, Kentucky is available on Thursdays between the hours of 1:00 PM-2:00 PM at the Bell County High School clinic. Dr. Rader consults with students who are enrolled in the high school and who have seen the school health clinic nurse previously.
The Bell County Health Department school clinics offer services to families of the community. Families are encouraged to utilize the health clinics. Services are offered to individuals of all age groups. The convenience of school health clinics will decrease the number of required visits to a physician's office and thus reduce the number of absences and check-outs for students. Each absence from school is educational time that cannot be recovered.
Attached are phone numbers for each health clinic and a partial listing of available services.
If you have questions regarding the clinics please call the number listed for the one in your community. The Bell County School District strives to give each child a quality education and the district is aware that to achieve their full potential, students must be in good health.
