Born Oct. 3, 1913, in Knox County, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Martha Collett. She believed in the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Gambrel; six children, Cora Gambrel, Paul gambrel, Silas Gambrel, Jay Gambrel, and Leo Gambrel; and one grandson, Glennis Warren.
Survivors include four children, Iva Lee Norris, Norwood, Ohio, Willena Edmondson, Pineville, Wilma Jean (Lonnie) Smith, Middlesboro, and Freddie Gambrel, Middlesboro; eight grandchildren, Scottie (Bobby) Messer, Arjay, Gail Patrick, Mozelle, Ky., Betty Garrett, Ohio, Jackie Partin, Middlesboro, Kristie (Garry) Mayes, Williamsburg, Ky., Corey Miracle, Ricky Gambrel and Lola Gambrel, all of Middlesboro; 11 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Pentecostal Church with Pastor Rodney Sulfridge, the Rev. Frank Johnson and the Rev. Arthur E. Jackson presiding. Music will be provided by Felix Brock, Rose Davis, and church singers.
Interment will be in Red Hill Cemetery at Arjay.
The family will receive friends after 6 p.m. Thursday at Mountain View Pentecostal Holiness Church.
