Track Owners John and Lori Thompson have welcomed Rick Brooks back again in 2005 to promote what is known as the "Bad-Fast Taz."
In 2004, Tazewell Speedway held 15 Racing events after a late start to the season but was successful yet again in providing some of the best racing action in the nation from week-to-week. Holding several special events such as the O' Reilly Southern All-Star sanctioned "Ray Neely Memorial 75," "Traci Gibson Posey Memorial," " Topless Freedom 35" and the NARA "O' Reilly Battle Of The Bluegrass 75." Track officials expect much of the same in 2005 with plans to bring in other "Major Dirt Late Model Racing Sanctions" in which will be announced at a later date.

Few changes are expected in the 2005 Racing Season at The Taz. The five divisions that raced weekly at Tazewell Speedway in 2004 will be welcomed back in 2005, those being the Super Late Models, Limited Late Models, Modified Street, Pure Street and the Four-Cylinder Divisions.
The 2005 Rules for Modified Street and Pure Street can be located on the "Rules" Page, the remaining rules will be posted in the next week.
John and Lori Thompson along with Rick Brooks are working on improving some other things around Tazewell Speedway in 2005 to help the racing facility become more safe and convenient for the drivers and fans.
Grandstand Admission will remain at $8.00 and Pit Admission will be $20.00 for the 2005 Racing Season.
