Donald R. Blakley, 50, was found guilty by a federal jury in U.S. District Court, in London, of one count of conspiracy to receive child pornography and 15 counts of receipt of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.
Blakely's activities were discovered by Middlesboro Police Officer Tom Busic when Busic responded to a routine complaint at Blakely's residence.
The defendant's computer and miscellaneous CD ROMs were turned over to Busic who began a joint investigation with he Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch.
The investigation uncovered several dozen sexually explicit images of children on the CDs which belonged to the defendant.
The guilty verdict on all 17 counts in the indictment was returned following a two-day trial before U.S. District Judge Danny C. Reeves in London.
Blakley will be sentenced Aug. 8, 2005.
