Couple indicted on drug charges

A Middlesboro couple has been indicted by a Bell County grand jury on charges of trafficking and complicity to traffic drugs.

Wilma Cole, 39, of Middlesboro was indicted by on charges of complicity to commit trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone), first offense and complicity to commit trafficking in a controlled substance in or near a school.

According to her indictment, Cole allegedly committed the offenses on or about April 7 , 2003 when she attempted to aid Leon Cole in trafficking in Hydrocodone.

She also attempted to aid Mr. Cole in trafficking in marijuana within 1,000 yards of Gateway Christian School.

Stemming from the similar case, Leon Cole, 27 of Middlesboro, was also indicted but on the charges of trafficking in a controlled substance and three counts of trafficking in a controlled substance in or near a school.
