JONESVILLE, Va. - A Lee County man was being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond after he allegedly stabbed a woman with a whittling stick over the weekend.

Jeffrey Hinkle of Jonesville had a criminal complaint filed by Lisa Lynn Grizzle for an incident involving the two parties.

Shortly after Grizzle had taken a bath. She stated in the complaint that she was still in the bathroom dying her hair when Hinkle began complaining about her taking too long.

Grizzle said she made a comment to him and shortly thereafter, he pushed his way through the bathroom door and started stabbing her with a sharpened stick. She said he stabbed her once in the cheek, piercing it and knocking out a tooth.

Grizzle also stated that Hinkle stabbed her in the side and wherever he could land a blow with the stick.
