She was born April 12, 1926, in Middlesboro, a daughter of the late Harry Ball and Gladys Ball. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zack McCabe; and brothers, John Ball and Bill Ball.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Ray Yonkus, Carmel, Ind.; son and daughter-in-law, David and Martha Gambrel, Middlesboro; loving brother, Randy Ball, Middlesboro; children, Larry (Debbie) McCabe, Oliver Springs, Tenn., Jan (Ronnie) Poland, Kingston, Tenn., Linda Smith, Kingston, Tenn., and all of their families; grandsons, Jim Yonkus, New Orleans, La., and Brett (Laura) Yonkus, Westfield, Ind.; great-grandson, Aiden Yonkus, Westfield, Ind.; nephews, Randy Ball and Baylor Ball, both of Middlesboro; nieces, Carabeth Williamson, Nashville, Tenn., Pam Toole and Vickie Partin, both of Middlesboro; special sisters-in-law, Carol Ball, Frankfort, Ky., and Louise Hearn, Middlesboro; special cousins, Thelma Charles Bradford, Middlesboro, Jack and Irene Ely, Florence, Ky., Judi and H.B. Deatherage, Fort Thomas, Ky., Joy and Bill Sharp, Union City, Ky.; special friend, Sue Cline, Harrogate, Tenn.; and a host of great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Tuesday at Creech Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Phelps presiding. Music will be by Thomasa Risner.
Burial will be in Middlesboro Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Randy Ball, Ray Yonkus, David Gambrel, Jim Yonkus, Brett Yonkus, Baylor Ball, Randy Ball Jr., George Pope Cawood and H.E. Uhl.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. Tuesday at Creech Funeral Home, Middlesboro, which is in charge of arrangements.
