TAZEWELL, Tenn. "Superman" Scott Sexton of Pigeon Forge looked to be enroute to his second victory of the 2005 season at Tazewell Speedway until lap 20, as Sexton got caught up in lapped traffic and The "Dirty White Boy" Anthony White took over the lead and never looked back capturing his first win of 2005 at The Taz.

Scott Sexton started what would be an unlucky night by wheeling his blue No. 52 TNT around Tazewell Speedway in 11.316 seconds (105.93 MPH) putting him on the pole with Gary Blanken starting his 2005 season off on a good noteâ setting second quick time (11.663 Seconds) putting him on the outside of row one.

At the drop of the green Sexton blasted into turn one over Blanken, with Anthony White quickly overtaking the third position from Bryan Hendrix and working on second place man Blanken. Lap two saw White working the low side of Blanken, overtaking second with his sights set on race leader Scott Sexton, which already had a comfortable lead over the field.

Lap three saw the first caution of the event wave as Jeff Wolfenbarger slowed on the racing surface with apparent mechanical problems retiring him to the pits for the night.

The top five on the restart were Sexton, White, Blanken, Hendrix and Billy Ogle, Jr. On the restart the action for fourth started to heat up as Ogle dove to the inside of Hendrix just as the second caution of the event waved as sixth placeman Brett Miller spun in turn two. The top five remained the same on the restart.

Lap nine saw race leader Scott Sexton closing in on lapped traffic with Anthony White quickly in tow.

By lap 20 Sexton had lapped up to fourth place and was in a mess of traffic with a rear-view mirror full of Anthony White. As the duo raced into turns one and two Sexton slipped to the high side of the track, and White saw his chance to go for it and quickly made his move diving to the inside of Sexton to overtake the lead. Sexton would not give up the lead easily as he was quickly back on the throttle and reeling in White until lap twenty nine when Sexton lost his drive shaft retiring him to the pits moving Gary Blanken into second, Ogle into third, Hendrix fourth and Brett Miller overtaking the fifth running position.

Lap 31 saw the lapped cars of Billy Ogle, Jr. and Bryan Hendrix battling for the third position until the fourth turn as Ogle cleared Hendrix with the two making contact coming down the front-stretch.

With only the first and second place man on the lead lap, The Dirty White Boy Anthony White of Clinton, TN. Went on to take the win driving the Black/Red White's Total Performance/Stone Plus/Mike Rubble Auto Body Inc./DJ-Designs/ No. 2 Dirty White Boy Race Cars Chassis followed by Gary Blanken, Billy Ogle, Jr., Bryan Hendrix and Brett Miller.
