The meeting was called to order by their newly elected president, Lisa Howard. Her theme for her tenure as president for the next two years will be "Ready, Set, Grow." Howard talked about different ways their club would celebrate National Garden Club Week. Plans are also underway for club members to do more plantings at the pedestrian bridge and on the city's property at the entrance of the Village Shops.
Out-going president, Eddie Lou Shoffner was presented a past-president's pin as an appreciation for her hard work over the last two years.
Hostesses for the meeting were Martha Robertson and Pat DeRossett.
