Dr. Meredith Evans, retired surgeon from Bell County, has recently added to his scholarship fund at Southeast Kentucky Community & Technical College (SKCTC) as a means of showing his support for the Fulfilling the Promise Campaign. The "Dr. Meredith Evans' Scholarship Fund" was initiated by Dr. Evans while working in the last campaign held in 1997.

His scholarship was started to help full-time students on SKCTC's Bell County Campus enrolled in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program or in any health science program offered by SKCTC. Students receiving Dr. Evans' scholarship must maintain a 3.0 GPA. Interested applicants should contact the Office of Financial Aid at SKCTC for further details.

Dr. Evans started his scholarship fund at Southeast with a generous $10,000 gift. He has continued to add to thescholarship fund regularly because he believes in the mission of SKCTC.

As Bell County's Honorary Chairman in the current campaign, Dr. Evans would like to encourage all of his former colleagues to consider a gift to SKCTC.
