PINEVILLE - An 18-year-old has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to the November stabbing death of Justin Travis Turner.

Sir Jazz Antonio Jasper, of New Albany Indiana, pleaded guilty to the charge of murder after he appeared in court.

Jasper was 17-years-old at the time of the murder, which happened Nov. 17 of last year on Greenwood Road. According to the police reports, Jasper and Turner (who was from Detroit) were traveling together and staying at the home on Greenwood when a dispute over money turned deadly. That's when police said Jasper stabbed the 28-year-old multiple times in the arms and neck.

In a separate case, a Middlesboro man has been sentenced to serve 10 years on second degree manslaughter.

Timothy Goins, 38, of Middlesboro, was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to amend the charge of second degree manslaughter.

Goins was originally indicted in August of last year on the charge of Murder for the July shooting death of Login Rains. Rains died after Goins allegedly shot him in the head with a semi-automatic handgun.

Represented by Cotha Hudson, Goins stated to the court he wished to withdraw his not guilty plea and plea guilty to the amended second degree manslaughter charge.

Enoch D. Huff, 27, of Middlesboro, was sentenced to serve four years in prison after a jury found him guilty of fleeing or evading the police, operating a motor vehicle while license is revoked or suspended for driving under the influence, and disregarding a stop sign.

Huff's driving license will be suspended for two years.

A 61-year-old man was found guilty by a jury for trafficking in a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

Ely Wendell Hembree of Middlesboro, was sentenced to serve five years in prison for second degree trafficking. He will receive 34 days credit for time served in jail on his charges.
