Campbell Competes in Winter Guard Championships

(Brittany) Michelle Campbell, daughter of Jeff and Pam Campbell, formerly of Harrogate, recently participated in the World Guard International Championships in Dayton, Ohio.

More than 12,000 performers were in Dayton for the 28th winter guard championships at the University of Dayton Arena. They came from 300 color guard teams across the United States and four foreign countries.

Campbell is a rising sophomore at Miamisburg High School in Miamisburg, Ohio. Her team, the Miamisburg Scholastic World Color Guard (MSWCG) placed third in the competition and received the Bronze Medal of excellence with a score of 94.45. Prior to this competition, the team had won the Midwest Power Regionals in Indiana with a score of 88.2.

Campbell is the sister of Middlesboro (Ky.) resident Angela Crigger, and the granddaughter of the late James and Lenora Campbell, and Ottis and Ruth Cox, all of Middlesboro as well as the niece of Teresa Peace of Harrogate.
