Dr. Edsel Godbey, the founding president of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College, and his wife, Sue, recently presented a check to Dr. W. Bruce Ayers, college president, to establish a scholarship fund to support students who will be entering the field of education. The scholarship fund will be named for Mrs. Godbey. The college's Appalachian Center is named for Dr. Godbey. The scholarship pledge brings to almost $700,000 the total commitment the Godbeys have made to the College.
