She was born in Pineville on Nov. 11, 1920, the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Stewart Cloud. A lifelong resident of Pineville, she had been a special friend to the Mason Combs Family and Children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore Ferguson; son, David Ferguson; sisters, Mary Hester Cloud, Mary Helen Cloud, Lucille Cloud and Jessie Mays; and a brother, Joseph Cloud Jr.
Survivors include her daughters, Florence Mays, and Joanna and Charles Zachery; grandchildren, Walter Joe Mays, Kellie Mays, Wendell Zachery, Michael Zachery, Dewayne Zachery and Christine Hunter; nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brother, Catherine White, Rosa Cloud, and Walter and Alice Cloud; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Evangelist Michael Ferguson and the Rev. Robert Cornett presiding.
Burial will be in the Wallsend Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Combs, David Combs, Anthony "Boo" Cloud, Kevin Cloud, James Ferguson and Curt Ferguson.
The family received friends on Sunday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home, Pineville.
