JONESVILLE, Va. - A 31-year-old Lee County man is being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Duffield after being charged with malicious wounding.

James Leon Roberts of Pennington Gap was charged following a Friday altercation in which he allegedly fractured the jaw of Jimmy Herron.

Roberts was initially held without bond, but following a Monday arraignment in Lee County Court, a secured bond of $10,000 was set. A preliminary hearing in the case is schedule for Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.
