Judge-Executive Bill Kelley said the informal meeting was designed to make improvements in the planning and response capabilities in the community.
“Recent disasters, natural and man-made have driven home the need for such preparedness,” Kelley said. “This meeting will be an important part of developing a working plan.”
Among other things discussed at the meeting, roles within the county emergency operation plan will be outlined and reviewed, with everyone in attendance allowed to offer input and exchange ideas.
Any emergency management official who is unable to attend is encouraged to contact Kelley or Bell County Emergency Management Director Paul Wilson at 337-3076.
The meeting will be held in the third floor conference room at the courthouse and refreshments will be provided.
