Starting at 10 a.m., shoppers enjoyed sales throughout the mall, while registering at center court to win a ladies 1 carat diamond cluster ring with our cowhide balloon bust. Jackie Ayers from Middlesboro came up as the big winner.
Next was the Incredible Money Machine, names were selected to beat the clock and catch all the money and prizes they could in 22 seconds. Prizes included a $1,000 in mall gift certificates, $100 gift card each from Belk and JCPenney, free tire rotation and balance from Sears Automotive Center, gift cards from Bath & Body Works, Kay-Bee Toys, Chinatown Café, Sears, Shoe Show, Incredible Chocolate Chip Cookie Company, Taco Casa, Brooke Jewelers, and other gifts from Dawahares, Footlocker and Kay Jewelers.
The First Mall Money Machine contestant was Betty Breeding winning $69 in mall gift certificates, a $20 gift certificate from Shoe Show and a $10 gift card from Kay-Bee Toys.
The big winner of the day was Teresa Garrett winning $74 in mall gift certificates, $10 gift card from Kay-Bee Toys, $100 gift card from JCPenney, $100 gift card from Belk, and two meals from Taco Casa.
Other winners included: Tracy Baker, Shirley Patterson, Rebecca Southern, Shirley Lindsey, Lorene Hurst, Geneva Wright, Rebecca Johnston, Shannon Lacefield, Jennifer Bramble, Georgia Antuna, Jessica Breeding, Teresa Sifton, Jessica Smith, and Kim Patterson. Following the Incredible Money Machine there were performances by the Pine Mountain Dancers at 1 and then at 1:30 the Cumberland Gap Dance Club. The Gate City Gunslingers was the big event on the mall outside lot with a old time gun fight and comedy show.
