Mrs. Couch was born to Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Moore at Straight Creek in Bell County, on Dec. 10, 1920. She graduated from Pineville High School in 1938, and was employed with J. J. Newberry Company in Pineville until she joined the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in 1942 during WW II. She married Henry Couch in August 1947 in Pineville after he returned from serving three years in the Army in the Pacific. She and Henry left Pineville and went to Cincinnati to live and work. She transferred with the J. J. Newberry Company and was assigned to the position of personnel manager. Henry became an employee of General Motors, Hamilton Plant, where he stayed until he retired in 1974. Billie early on had left J. J. Newberry Co. and became employed with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, where she stayed until she retired. Billie was very active in Rosy Reds. Billie and Henry resided in the Wyoming, Ohio, area. They lived at 25 Springfield Pike in Wyoming from 1974 until they became residents at Mercy Franciscan Terrace. Billie and Henry were members of Friendship United Methodist Church in Wyoming, Ohio.
Billie is the sister of Emma Gene (Lester) Akers, and was preceded in death by five sisters. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends Bob and Joan Rohrbach.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hodapp Funeral Home in Cincinnati.
Friends may call at Hodapp Funeral Home from 5-8 p.. Thursday.
She will be laid to rest at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio.
Memorials are suggested to Friendship Methodist Church.
