The Harrogate Garden Club met in the Lincoln Room on the campus of Lincoln Memorial University for their annual Christmas Brunch. Hostesses for the meeting were Pat DeRossett and Gypsie Bellar. The table was beautifully decorated with fresh greens, candles, and a small Christmas Tree decorated with Mrs. DeRossett's Mothers antique silver ornaments and candles. The club was treated to a delicious brunch hosted by LMU as a thank-you for decorating Duke Hall for the annual tree-lighting and Knoxville symphony concert held Dec. 8.

President, Lisa Howard held a brief business meeting in which she asked the club to consider adopting a portion of our highway in the City to keep trash picked up. The club voted to look into the adopt-a-highway program and to become involved as litter is an ongoing problem on our highways. The Harrogate Garden Club will also initiate a Kids Count Project in a local School for environmental awareness. Each child in the class selected to participate will decorate a clay pot and then plant a seedling provided by our county forestry service.

Theprogram for the meeting was given by member, Alice Robertson, on holiday design.

A Christmas Throw was presented to Howard as a thank you for her leadership of the club in 2005.
