According to the Kentucky State Police, Jeannie Price, 35, of Middlesboro, was traveling west on 74 in a 2001 Blue Cavalier when she lost control, struck a road sign and then an embankment.
Price was killed when her vehicle overturned and she was ejected from the car. Officials said excessive speed appeared to have caused the accident.
Trooper Howard and Trooper Keith Baker of the Kentucky State Police investigated.
