Emergency personnel had to extracate Libby Barker of New Tazewell from her car following a collision with a Dodge pick-up truck on Mountain Road about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 26th. Barker and her passenger, Steve Barker, were flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville by Lifestar for treatment of their injuries. Billy W. Kelly, driver of the pick-up was not injured. Trooper Bob Morelock of the Tennessee Highway Patrol said his reconstruction showed that Barker crossed the center line to collide with the Kelly vehicle. Photo by Ed Baldwin
