Lady Bulldogs Basketball Camp

The Lady Bulldogs basketball camp will be held May 22-26 at the Claiborne High Gym. The camp is for girls in grades K-12. The gym will be open at 7 a.m. for early arrivals. Each camper needs to bring a lunch. The cost of the camp is $60 per camper.

Dave Kragel's Basketball Camps

Dave Kragel, head coach of the Walters State Lady Senators has announced the dates of his annual basketball camps. Camps for girls in grades 3-9 will be held on the campus of Walters State Community College in Morristown.

The first camp will be held June 19-22, and the second camp will be held July 10-13. Times for the camps are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost of the camp is $75 with discounts going to teams of five or more players.

The camps will focus on the fundaments of basketball, team play and competition.

"Guys and Dolls" Dart Tournament

The New Tazewell VFW Post 8779 will be hosting their "Guys and Dolls" Dart tournament at 8 p.m. sharp.

Immediately following this tournament we will hold our regular Friday night tournament for points.

Clinch-Powell RC&D Golf Tournament at Woodlake

The first Clinch-Powell RC&D Four Person Scramble Golf Tournament is set for Friday, June 9th at beautiful Woodlake Golf Club on Norris Lake in Claiborne County.

You can get a team together, be a sponsor, or volunteer to help. Registration is $240 per team of four ($60 per person).

SKCTC Golf Classic set for May 13 at Sleepy Hollow

The Southeast Education Foundation will be hosting the 16th Annual Scholarship Golf Classic on Saturday, May13, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the Sleepy Hollow Golf Course in Cumberland, Ky.

There is a tax deductible entry fee of $60 per person or $240 per team, which includes green fee, golf cart and one mulligan, special feat prizes, putting contest, a golf cap and lunch.

Creech Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Inc. of Harlan, Ky. is sponsoring a hole-in-one prize package that includes a Buick Lucerna. Cash prizes will be awarded for closest to the hole and for the putting contest.

Winning team members will each receive a sport coat sponsored by Powers and Horton and the Southeast Education Foundation.

Proceeds will help deserving and needy students acquire an education through the SKCTC Scholarship Fund. Golfers may register from now until 8:15 a.m. May 13th and for more information, call Rhonda Creech at (606) 589-3084.
