ROSE HILL, Va. - Clifford Hensley, 77, passed away Monday, May 22, 2006, at Wellmont-Holston Valley.

He lived most of his life in Lee County, Va., and was a member of Trinity Tabernacle of Rose Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sampson and Lillie Hensley; four brothers, Elmer, Millard, Cecil, and Leonard.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hensley of Rose Hill; one son, Eddie Hensley of Rose Hill; seven daughters, Lois, Margie, Sheila, and Karen all of Elkins, W. Va., Valerie, Bangor, Maine, Penny, Pineville, and Megan, Rose Hill, Va.; one stepdaughter, Tonya, Rose Hill; one stepson, Vince, Petersburg, Ky.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Estel Hensley, and Rodney Hensley both of Rose Hill; four sisters, Gladys, N. C., Elsie, Jean and Jerlene, all of Rose Hill.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home, Rose Hill Chapel, with the Rev. Rodney Hensley officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, at Lee Memorial Garden Parker West Cemetery in Rose Hill. Those wishing to attend the burial will meet at the funeral home at 10 a.m. to go to the cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Arney-Mullins Funeral Home, Rose Hill, Va., which is in charge of arrangements. Guestbook at www.arney-mullinsfuneralhomes.com.
